The exodus is simultaneously the escape of the people of God, the Israelites from Egypt, the land of slavery — they exit out of slavery into the Promised Land: it is the exodus — and, at the same time, it is a one-word way of referring to the events surrounding the exodus that includes, therefore, the judgment of God on the Egyptians, the plagues. It also eventually includes the giving of the Law, the years of wilderness wanderings, and eventually entrance into the Promised Land – Carson
This year our Bible Institute will be looking at the themes of the Exodus under the headings:
- The God who redeems His people
- The God who passes over sin
- The God who judges sin
- The God who gives life
- The God who makes Himself known
- The God who dwells with man
Each session is designed to use the Exodus narrative as a way to help us understand the gospel of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Speakers include Rob Dingman (Calvary Chapel Twickenham), Thomas Fretwell (Theology & apologetics author & speaker), Kris King (Ballymena, Northern Ireland).
I’d like to encourage as many in our church as possible to attend as I’m confident that this is going to be a really good time together.
You must register for this event and this can be done here:
