Growth Through Community

GETTING INVOLVED AT CALVARY IS SIMPLE

PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY

We want to make sure that anyone who is looking at getting involved at Calvary is on the same page, walking together with us in the same direction. One of the things that we want to emphasise at Calvary Chapel is that ministry is for Jesus and others, not ourselves. We are called to serve not be served. Jesus taught that we are not to be like worldly rulers who abuse their power and authority but instead, we should be servant leaders.

One of the unique things about Calvary Chapel how we attempt to maintain the balance between The Word and the Spirit. We like to say that we’re traditional in substance and contemporary in style but it goes further that this. The task of reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ is an impossible one with the equipping and enabling of the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that to live for and serve the Lord we need the dynamic that the Lord Jesus imparts through His work in us. We believe that God has called, commissioned and promised to equip us.
